PUMI 4.2.1 Release

This issue is to document functionality and features added to PUMI since the 4.1.0 release (a8e3aef). Note, a 4.2.0 tag was created but there were no release notes so these notes will cover that gap.

New functionality / features

• Improve mesh coarsening and snapping capability. Note, this was included in v4.2.0. (62b50f2, Coarsen and Snapping #514)

Bug fixes

• Fixed deriveMdlFromManifold and derive2DMdlFromManifold, with new test
  coverage. (ee33056)
• Fixed a crash in maQuality during adaptation of mixed element 2D meshes
  with frozen quad layers by allowing adaptation of tris in such meshes; made
  the quad validity check coordinate-system-independent and numerically
  robust. (08d787b, 996cf39, Fix adapt crash for mixed-element 2D meshes with frozen quad layers #524)
• Fixed failing tests, including pointing test meshes at pumi-meshes
  master. (18505f4, 71c14c4, Fix Failing Adapt Tests #520)
• Added a flag to explicitly link libexecinfo where required by the build.

• Removed duplicate/extra Capstone ctest entries. (d7ea0a5, fix: remove duplicate "extra capvol" ctest entries #518)

Other improvements

• Updated CDash configuration to the latest version. (c2d6a7e, Update cdash to the latest #536)
• Added the cxx_std_11 feature requirement to PCU. (a3dd1d5, Add cxx_std_11 CMake compile feature to PCU #533)
• Removed an obsolete visualization test. (0d70343, remove viz test #531)
• Removed an unneeded GKlib DG regression tests #49 patch. (c79340b, remove GKlib install patch #532)
• Updated the nightly test configuration. (e60db81, Update Sim Version Nightly Test #521)
• Added support for Simmetrix SimModSuite 2026 (2e5a4ef, support simModSuite 2026 #534)
