SymPress Runtime is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later.
WP Starter compatibility research and source-derived material
-----------------------------------------------------------
Behavioral contracts, WordPress salt names/character catalog and section marker
conventions are derived from WP Starter. The implementation is maintained here;
WP Starter is not a runtime or development dependency. Its pinned source
revisions and individual file references are recorded in docs/maintainers/source-evidence.md
and docs/maintainers/upstream-inventory.json. The upstream notice is retained for any
source-derived portions, including the salt catalog, section-edit format,
WordPress constant/type catalog and environment alias order.
resources/legacy-mu-loader.php.txt and resources/legacy-mu-loader-dev.php.txt are
the pinned upstream MU loader templates, retained only for byte-exact
recognition of generated files during migration.
Source-derived API compatibility files (verified against upstream dev revision
059bbc9198ac51dee86c5233b6b006ca4d8008a4):
- src/Process/PhpTool.php adapts src/Cli/PhpTool.php: tool interface method
signatures, with SymPress namespace and service types.
- src/Step/NullStep.php adapts src/Step/NullStep.php: extensible no-op step
contract and return values, using SymPress StepInterface.
- src/Step/ScriptHaltSignal.php adapts src/Step/ScriptHaltSignal.php: propagation
and step-halting factories/accessors, with readonly promoted properties.
These adaptations remain covered by the following retained upstream MIT notice.

Generated standalone parser payloads
-----------------------------------
The payload builder scopes the installed Symfony Dotenv parser and its Symfony
Process dependencies into an isolated namespace. It retains their original
copyright headers and distributes each component's MIT LICENSE alongside the
generated source. Composer CLI/DI/Messenger integrations are not bundled.
