What's the value of plate over something like outline?

https://github.com/outline/outline seems comparable to plate potion, where outline is free to self host and plate is $300. Are there any specific benefits to plate?

Unless you absolutely need to embed plate into some app, outline feels like the way to go.

Potion is not a product but an app reference for Plate developers needing more advanced components and examples. If such a product is the interest whatever the editor framework, outline would be a better fit.

Got it. Well, partly the reason I asked was because I like the potion UI quite a bit. But, I can’t justify the high potion cost over outline for my small team haha. Hence the question to see what I may be missing.

It's mainly a time saver. You should easily find alternatives (or DIY/copy with AI) that fits your budget.
