Closes #3

Every contribution to FerroPIX is licensed under the project licence of the version it lands in and grants the Licensor, Vernum Projecten B.V., the relicensing right that keeps the work one work under one licensor, the same terms as FerroEHR's CONTRIBUTING.md § Licensing of contributions. The contributor keeps their copyright: a licence grant recorded in the pull request, not an assignment and not a separate agreement.

Three parts: CONTRIBUTING.md § Licensing of contributions states the terms; the pull request template's checkbox is the record; the contribution-licence-guard check (scripts/checks/contribution-licence.sh) fails a pull request from a person whose body lacks the ticked line, skips bots by author type, and re-runs on edited. Every sentence that promised no contributor licence agreement is replaced.

Licensing of contributions

  • I accept the terms in CONTRIBUTING.md § Licensing of contributions: I have the right to submit this work, I license it under the project licence of the version it lands in, and I grant the Licensor the relicensing right stated there.

Every contribution to FerroPIX is licensed under the project licence of the
version it lands in and grants the Licensor, Vernum Projecten B.V., the
relicensing right that keeps the work one work under one licensor. The
contributor keeps their copyright; this is a licence grant recorded in the
pull request, not an assignment and not a separate agreement.

Three parts, as FerroEHR has them: CONTRIBUTING.md § Licensing of
contributions states the terms; the pull request template's checkbox is the
record of acceptance; and the contribution-licence-guard check,
scripts/checks/contribution-licence.sh, fails a pull request from a person
whose body lacks the ticked line. Bots are skipped by author type, and
`edited` is in the pull request trigger so ticking the box re-runs the
guard. With no pull request body set the script checks itself, so a local
gate battery runs it rather than skipping it.

Every sentence that promised no contributor licence agreement is replaced
with the new terms.
