🍰 FigPie: Assemble scientific figures as easy as pie

🚧🏗️ Under construction, check for updates.🏗️🚧

FigPie is a lightweight, drag-and-drop GUI tool for assembling scientific figures from images, PDFs, and plots without needing heavy, expensive or overkill software like Illustrator, Affinity, PowerPoint and such. It is designed based on my lived-experience for researchers who want fast, clean, publication-ready figures.

⬇️ Download FigPie for Windows

Latest version: v0.1.7

Download FigPieSetup.exe | Windows Installer

🚀 Why FigPie?

Many researchers and students generate plots in Python / R / MATLAB then struggle in Illustrator / PowerPoint. FigPie removes that second step. It’s built specifically for papers , theses, presentations and scientific posters.

🛠️ To-Do/ Updates needed:

  • Expand panel columns - we are too narrow at the moment - - need to check how it looks on smaller screens - adaptable window Add image replacement function

user feedback windows crashes after 9 plots loaded at the same time --- fix thread processing --- RAM utilization ⚠️

Add crop/copy object, trim image

  • Mac/ Linux support-test improvements

  • Better snapping / alignment guides (Auto V and H needs enhancement)

SVG export

  • Shortcut key fix

  • Shape insert enhancement / shape rotation fix

  • add simple manual file

  • Open new canvas option / fix the override problem

  • add hint on keys when mouse hovers

fix Gap Y field mask

add smart stat symbol feature

warning/save before close

Auto plot placement fails, rewrite the function to handle smart placement based on import order
