Final updates to both the Namma Smart AI Apps Challenge and Bharat AI-SoC Challenge 2026–27 pages based on the latest stakeholder feedback.

Changes

  • Updated both pages with the latest approved content, timelines and participant information
  • Revised wording throughout to be more public-facing and participant-friendly
  • Updated Namma terminology from “Problem Statement(s)” to “Challenge Area(s)”
  • Updated Namma rewards, IP guidance and medical disclaimers
  • Updated Bharat eligibility, rewards, hardware guidance and Llama/ExecuTorch requirements
  • Removed outdated Bharat grant information and old hardware references
  • Preserved the existing registration forms, Register Now behaviour, page themes and responsive layouts
  • Kept Meta listed as tentative tech support on the Bharat page, as requested

Issues flagged to PMs:

  1. Bharat loads Namma’s registration form. Bharat, line 413 embeds form 4309. I checked its live definition: it labels PS1/2 “students only” and PS3/4 “working professionals only.” This contradicts Bharat’s eligibility across all five problem statements. Use a Bharat-specific form with matching eligibility.

  2. Namma’s promised Phase 2 Azure credit can expire too early.
Namma, lines 226–227 directs professionals to create accounts for Phase 1, then use the $200 signup credit in Phase 2. That credit expires after 30 days: a September 20 signup expires around October 20, before Phase 2 ends on October 30. Clarify whether organisers provide separate funding, or explain the expiry and continuation requirements. Microsoft’s terms.

  3. Namma allows challenge changes after submissions close.
Namma, lines 102–104 extends registration to September 20 but retains the 15-day change allowance. Late registrants can therefore change challenge areas until October 5—after September 30 submissions and during judging. Cap changes at the submission deadline.
