Problem: Welcome page for newly deployed AtoM site is out of date #2376

Open

Description

@Jennoit

The default Welcome page text in AtoM is out of date and should be updated.
It currently reads:

This is the default homepage for AtoM.

AtoM is a fully web based archival description application that is based on International Council on Archives (ICA) standards. AtoM is an acronymn for Access to Memory.

The ICA and its project collaborators are making this application available as open source software to provide archival institutions with a free and easy to use option for putting their archival collections online. See the about page to learn more about the AtoM project.

See the online documentation to learn more about using the software or press the browse button on the right to view some sample data.

Proposed new text:

This is the default homepage for AtoM.
See the online documentation to learn more about using the software and how to customize this static page.

    @Jennoit
    It's mentioned to add this text: See the online documentation to learn more about using the software and how to customize this static page.

    Could you clarify which documentation page this should link to? I want to make sure I use the correct documentation URL.

    Hi @ShrishtyJainTech, can you update the documentation link to https://accesstomemory.org/en/docs/? this way, we're redirecting users to our current documentation that we maintainers are actively maintaining and will not require us to update this for each version. Thanks!
