[Request] CUSA04402 Middle Earth Shadow of War v1.18 Patch 60FPS Not Working Properly #330
First of all, I really appreciate all your hard work, and I would like to sincerely thank you for creating and maintaining these patches.
I would like to report an issue regarding the 60 FPS patch for Middle-earth: Shadow of War (CUSA04402), version 1.18.
Unfortunately, the patch does not seem to work as expected on my PS4 Pro. With the patch enabled, the Main Menu runs at 60 FPS, but once I enter the actual gameplay, the game is still hard-locked at 30 FPS.
This is quite different from your Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor 60 FPS patch, which works perfectly on my PS4 Pro and allows the actual gameplay to run at 60 FPS.
I also noticed that the patch code/address is different between the previous Shadow of War versions and version 1.18:
Version 1.00 / 1.11:
Value="31f690" Address="0x0029902fe"
Version 1.18:
Value="31f690" Address="0x002a7321e"
I was wondering why the address had to be changed for version 1.18, even though the patch value remains "31f690".
Could this new address (0x002a7321e) be affecting only the Main Menu frame rate, while the actual gameplay frame-rate limiter is still locked at 30 FPS?
If possible, could you please explain what changed between the previous versions and version 1.18, and whether the 0x002a7321e address is definitely the correct address for the gameplay FPS limiter?
I have tested this on a PS4 Pro, and changing the PS4 Pro output resolution from 2160p to 1080p does not change the result. The Main Menu remains at 60 FPS with the patch, but gameplay remains locked at 30 FPS.
Thank you very much again for your hard work and for making these patches available to the PS4 community! 🙏 @illusionyy@jao12345
The same happen but with Horizon Zero Dawn (60fps patch) on Ps4 pro. Menu and cutscene went 60fps but gaming time lock at 30fps. gamer prefer cutscene at 30fps but gaming at uncapped fps or 60fps imo.
