OTT-JAX 0.6 rejects sinkhorn_kwargs; the previous broad exception handler silently substitutes balanced transport, including for unbalanced requests. Use its actual solve_kwargs contract, propagate execution failures, and allow the balanced fallback only when optional imports are unavailable. Explicit unbalanced requests fail when OTT is unavailable or disabled.

Integrated owner content through 339abbbbe3d846bcb08a3196536427dd52ba58fa, preserving its truthful replay/matrix diagnostics and real CPU optimizer/artifact CI. Regression validation: 14 loss tests pass, including actual installed OTT 0.6 balanced/unbalanced values and finite gradients with fallback forbidden, solver failure propagation, and missing-dependency behavior. Actual two-step CPU CTS run with use_ott=true passes: finite loss 5.198169708251953, parameter delta 14.129130254499614, generated shape [2,2]. Ruff and format pass; pyright has 0 errors and 7 missing optional dependency warnings. Historical source/current blob integrity and full GIF/MP4 decode pass. Exact integrated full suite is running after shared-memory resource exhaustion; merge remains gated on hosted CI run 38623740606.

Published GIF/MP4 remain explicitly historical receipts of the prior source and use_ott=false; they do not establish the new OTT path. Verify captured source blobs and the changed current source blob separately; CI fetches history for that check. No model-quality, live teacher, ALFWorld, scale, or benchmark claim.

Stacked narrow followup to #3. Earlier transient head a316bda was replaced by e502a2d to preserve concurrent owner changes; review and merge only the current exact head.

Ruff, format, pyright (0 errors; 7 optional-import warnings), historical/current source integrity and full 60-frame GIF/MP4 decoding pass. Hosted CI run 38623740606 has passed the test step and is executing the real local optimizer/archive-diagnostic lane. Merge remains held until all current-head checks finish. Published media retain their historical use_ott=false scope.

Repeated the actual two-step CTS optimizer with use_ott=true against exact integrated source tree 8da22ac2c4e7c21b9a32dd5bf2fc35b9d1f53a11: finite loss 5.198169708251953, L1 parameter delta 14.129130254499614, generated [2,2], group [2,3,8]. This closes the whole-tree provenance gap after concurrent owner integration. Review: APPROVE the scoped OTT contract/error-handling repair. Research quality, trained-model evaluation, live teacher/ALFWorld/scale and paper reproduction remain unverified; the checked-in video remains a historical fallback-only receipt. No merges performed by this QA lane.

This is a proper two-parent commit retaining both prior tested OTT head e502a2d and latest owner f64b34c ancestry. Owner delta changes only matrix fairness budget, comparator table label and one regression; no training/model/OTT/CI source changes. All latest owner content is preserved.

At this exact combined tree, 17 targeted tests pass (3 matrix/evidence tests and 14 loss tests including real installed OTT values/gradients and failures); Ruff passes, pyright 0 errors/7 optional-import warnings, and source integrity/full media decode pass. Prior full-suite 53 tests and real OTT-enabled two-step optimizer pass belong to ancestor e502a2d; they are not relabeled as full-suite runs on this new head. New hosted CI 38625132872 is running. Merge HOLD until it passes and the shared coordinator confirms the owner freeze. No further source writes planned by this QA lane.
