   While not part of the library, The canvas API supports text, something like this would super impose it:

   var ctx = document.getElementById('canvas').getContext('2d');
   ctx.font = '40pt Calibri';
   ctx.fillStyle = 'blue';
   ctx.fillText('Hello World!', 150, 100);
