What

Adds lfx-famulor, an opt-in standalone Extension Bundle under src/bundles/famulor. It ships four components that call the public Famulor REST API at https://app.famulor.io/api/v1:

  • FamulorMakeCallComponent starts an outbound AI call (POST /calls).
  • FamulorGetCallComponent reads status, summary, and transcript (GET /calls/{id}).
  • FamulorListAssistantsComponent lists workspace assistants (GET /assistants).
  • FamulorListCampaignsComponent lists campaigns (GET /campaigns).

Authentication is Authorization: Bearer fam_... through a SecretStrInput. The components use httpx directly and carry no vendor SDK.

Why

Famulor is an AI voice and phone platform. These four calls are the smallest set that lets a flow start an outbound assistant call and then read the result, the assistant catalog, and campaigns. The bundle is opt-in, so a default uv pip install langflow is unchanged, and each component does nothing until an API key is supplied.

Notes

  • Packaged the same way as the Serping API bundle (feat(bundles): add Serping API search extension bundle #15221): workspace member, uv source, the bundles optional-dependency, the release inventory contract plus its test, a migration-table bare_class_name entry per class, the sidebar bundle list and its test, a custom sidebar icon, and a docs page. uv.lock gains only the lfx-famulor hunks (workspace member, bundles extra, requires-dist, the package block), generated with uv 0.8.22 so the lock stays on revision 3.
  • The host is fixed. Callers cannot supply a base URL.
  • The per-call values input is named call_variables and the campaign filter is named campaign_status, because variables and status already exist on Component. Both are sent to the API as variables and status.
  • In tool mode each component exposes one tool: famulor_make_call, famulor_get_call, famulor_list_assistants, or famulor_list_campaigns. The API key stays on the component.
  • Errors keep the API's {"error": {"code", "message"}} text as a single error Data row.
  • The icon is the current cyan toggle mark from https://www.famulor.io/icon.svg.

Testing

Release inventory contract:

uv run --no-sync pytest scripts/ci/test_release_inventory.py -q
12 passed

Bundle unit tests (httpx.request mocked, no network, no live key):

uv run --no-sync pytest src/bundles/famulor/tests -q
25 passed

Also run:

  • uv run ruff check src/bundles/famulor (clean)
  • lfx extension validate src/bundles/famulor/src/lfx_famulor (validate: ok)
  • python scripts/migrate/check_bare_names.py (ok)
  • python scripts/migrate/check_migration_append_only.py --base origin/main (ok, +4 entries)
  • Biome check on the touched frontend files (clean)
  • Jest: Famulor icon, lazyIconImports, and sidebarBundles (15 passed)

Fork PR for reference: bekservice#1

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added Famulor integration components to start outbound calls, retrieve call details, and list assistants and campaigns.
    • Added Famulor to the available bundle options, with an installation guide and setup documentation.
    • Added Famulor branding to the bundle sidebar.
  • Documentation
    • Documented API-key configuration, component inputs and outputs, and available defaults and limits.

Add the opt-in lfx-famulor package so flows can start Famulor outbound
AI calls and read assistants, call transcripts, and campaigns through
the public REST API.

Full details: Test Coverage For New Implementations

Explanation

The pull request adds a backend test file with 25 focused tests for all four new Famulor components, including request payloads, validation, errors, pagination, outputs, and tool invocation. It also adds frontend unit tests for the new icon, lazy icon mapping, and sidebar registration. The files follow the repository naming conventions. Mocked HTTP tests are appropriate for an external REST API, so no separate live integration test is required by this coverage check.

Full details: Test File Naming And Structure

Explanation

The PR follows the required test naming and structure. Backend tests use test_famulor_components.py with pytest fixtures, test_* functions, and scoped patch contexts. Frontend tests use .test.ts/.test.tsx files under src/frontend/src, with Jest and React Testing Library. Test names describe the behavior, and the suite covers positive paths, validation failures, API/transport errors, pagination, filtering, table output, icon behavior, lazy loading, and sidebar registration. No integration or end-to-end tests are introduced, so those placement rules are not applicable.

Full details: Excessive Mock Usage Warning

Explanation

Mocks are limited to external or isolated dependencies. The Famulor tests patch only httpx.request, return real httpx.Response objects, and exercise component validation, response parsing, formatting, error handling, pagination, and tool invocation. They also assert HTTP methods, URLs, headers, query parameters, request bodies, and no-request validation paths. Frontend mocks isolate imported icon modules while testing wrapper and lazy-loading behavior. The changed tests do not mock the core component logic.

Full details: Docstring Coverage

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 69.23% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 26 functions across 18 files. (10 skipped: 10 unsupported.)

Resolution

Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Full details: Test Quality And Coverage

Explanation

The suite has strong behavioral coverage for POST /calls and GET /calls/{id}, including success, validation, transport, and API errors. It also tests async tool creation and invocation with asyncio.run, which matches existing bundle patterns. However, the two list API endpoints do not have API error-response tests. FamulorListAssistantsComponent is tested only with successful responses in test_famulor_components.py:270-329, and FamulorListCampaignsComponent is tested only with successful responses or local status validation in :331-372. The 4xx tests at :170-192 and :257-267 cover only the call endpoints. This does not satisfy the requirement to test both success and error responses for each API endpoint.

Resolution

Add pytest tests for 4xx API responses from /assistants and /campaigns, using realistic Famulor error JSON and asserting the guarded Data error text. Also test the list message/table error outputs if they are part of the public behavior, and include at least one transport or malformed-response case for the list paths.

Identify Famulor as a standalone package.

The list says the displayed identifiers are extra names, but lfx-bundles has no famulor extra. Installing lfx-bundles[famulor] will not install this bundle. Mark Famulor as standalone and direct readers to lfx-famulor. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Document the API Access requirement.

A key alone is not sufficient. Famulor also requires API Access through the workspace plan or an add-on; otherwise requests return 403 api_access_required. Add this prerequisite here and to the bundle documentation. (docs.famulor.io)

Cache the call result for both outputs within one build.

When both outputs are connected, the component processes them on the same instance. The call output invokes famulor_make_call(), and the message output invokes it again. Both executions reach POST /calls, which can place and bill two calls.

Reset the cache at the start of each build. Preserve status when the cached result is returned.

Cache the Famulor call result so the `call` and `message` outputs reuse one POST
per build. Reset the cache at the start of each build, and update
`famulor_make_call` to return the cached result while restoring `status`; store
the result after creating the call.

After applying the fix, consider running `coderabbit review --agent` for local
review. Visit https://docs.coderabbit.ai/cli?utm_source=ghpr
