Summary

  • Rewrites the "Select left-pane filters" collapser to reflect the new inline filter pills and toggles (Entities, Errors, Refine, Unfragmented traces only, Multi-span only) — the left pane no longer exists in the UI
  • Rewrites the "Group similar traces" collapser to document the new Trace groups tab (3 summary charts + groups table)
  • Updates scatter plot availability: now shown when selecting the Root entry span, Root entity, or Errors tab (the removed Group similar traces toggle no longer gates it)
  • Removes stale "left-pane filters" cross-reference in the scatter plot section

Fixes: NR-579109

Note: The old screenshot distributed-tracing_screenshot-crop_left-pane-filters.webp is no longer referenced by this doc. The image file can be cleaned up separately.

The DT UI was redesigned and no longer matches the documentation.
Flagged by a customer (Availity) via #help-documentation. Fixes NR-579109.

- Replace "Select left-pane filters" collapser with new inline filter
pills and toggles (Entities, Errors, Refine, Unfragmented traces only,
Multi-span only); removes stale screenshot and left-pane content
- Replace "Group similar traces" collapser with "Trace groups" tab
description including the 3 summary charts and groups table
- Update scatter plot availability: now shown on Root entry span, Root
entity, or Errors tabs (not via a removed toggle)
- Remove stale "left-pane filters" reference in scatter plot section
