CONTAINER-REGISTRY ORDS ENTRYPOINT.SH SCRIPT DOES NOT ACCEPT MULTIPLE POOLS #3107
There is another issue with this entry point script. When you use a (RAC) service name for connecting to the pdb the following query does not give the correct result.
RESULT=$(echo " SET HEADING OFF FEEDBACK OFF VERIFY OFF ECHO OFF SELECT open_mode FROM v$pdbs WHERE name = UPPER('\''$DBSERVICENAME'\''); EXIT; " \ | sql -s "sys/*****@rac-scan:1522/$DBSERVICENAME" 2>/dev/null )\ | grep -c "READ WRITE")
The domain name is used to reference the server which is not used in de the v$pdb view. also the name of the service does not necessarily need to be the same as the pdb name
I altered the script as follows as a workaround
select CASE when ( select count(*) from v$pdbs where UPPER('$DBSERVICENAME') = UPPER(name) ) > 0 then (select open_mode from v$pdbs WHERE UPPER(name) = UPPER('$DBSERVICENAME')) ELSE (select open_mode from v$pdbs WHERE UPPER(name) = (select UPPER(pdb) from cdb_services where instr(UPPER('$DBSERVICENAME'),UPPER(NAME),1,1) > 0 ) ) END as open_mode from dual;
@BruninkJ I'm on holiday for the next few days. But will return on Monday 14-Sept. Expect to see a follow-up then. Thank you for brining this too our attention. We may have updated this in the latest release, but I'll have to double check. Thanks!

The ORDS image now accepts multiple pools, see latest Entrypoint.sh for details. The following environment variables are now available:
ORDS_DB_POOL="${ORDS_DB_POOL:-default}"ORDS_DB_POOL_OPTION=()
