Getting Started

Installation

From a WordPress administration screen:

1. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
2. Search for WP User Signups.
3. Select Install Now, then Activate.

You can also upload the release ZIP or install it manually in wp-content/plugins/wp-user-signups.

Find the signup manager

• On single-site WordPress, use Sign ups in the administration menu.
• On multisite, use Sign ups in Network Admin.

The list opens on pending records. Select Activated above the table to see completed signups.

Storage

The plugin registers the global signups and signupmeta tables with WordPress's database object. Multisite normally already has the signups table; the plugin provides compatible storage on single-site installations and adds a dedicated metadata table.

Records are retained when the plugin is deactivated. Back up the database before manually changing or removing either table.

Permissions

On single-site installations, signup-management capabilities map to manage_options. On multisite they remain distinct capabilities, with network administration normally performed by a super administrator.

The supported capabilities are:

• manage_signups
• create_signups
• edit_signups
• edit_signup
• activate_signup
• resend_signup
• delete_signup

Use capabilities rather than role-name checks in integrations.
