Summary by Sourcery

Remove embedded runtime artifacts from published packages and make page-only manifests the required package format.

Enhancements:

  • Require package manifests and publication checks to cover pages only, removing runtime modules from package metadata and delivery expectations.
  • Align manifest fixtures and validation expectations with the updated TinyUI manifest format and host-version semantics.

Documentation:

  • Update English and Chinese documentation to describe runtime delivery with the host App and clarify hostVersion compatibility semantics.

Tests:

  • Update publishing and manifest verification tests to use page-only packages and the shared updated client fixture.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Behavior Changes
    • Release manifests now cover page modules only; listed files and hashes must match those pages.
    • Publishing checks uploaded page bundles for missing files and hash mismatches. Page content remains accessible across channels, including before a channel has its own pointer.
  • Documentation
    • Clarified that host version changes reflect host capabilities, runtime requirements, or JavaScript engine changes—not a TinyUI version upgrade alone. Manifest engine and TinyUI versions are checked independently.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The manifest and publishing checks now cover page modules only. The documentation and publishing tests reflect page-only package contents and the updated hostVersion description.

Changes

Page package validation

Layer / File(s) Summary
Page-only manifest and publishing validation
src/manifest.ts, src/app.ts, src/ids.ts, README.md, README.zh-CN.md
Manifest no longer includes runtime. Module validation and publishing checks now cover pages only. The documentation removes runtime files from the immutable-content examples and updates the hostVersion criteria.
Page-only publishing fixtures and tests
test/helpers.ts, test/publish.test.ts
Publishing fixtures contain only the home page module. Tests check page delivery, availability through staging before it has a pointer, and missing or tampered page content.

**issue (bug_risk):** `parseManifest` ignores an incoming `runtime` property instead of rejecting it, because it only reads the required fields and never checks for unknown or forbidden keys. A manifest containing `runtime` therefore proceeds whenever its `pages`, `files`, and `hashes` otherwise match, contrary to the new protocol contract that no longer accepts or tolerates that field.

**Triggers:** When a package is produced by a client that still emits `runtime` but does not include runtime modules in `files`.

**Suggested fix:** Reject manifests for which `Object.hasOwn(m, "runtime")` is true before constructing the parsed manifest.

```suggestion
    const m = raw as Record<string, unknown>;
    if (Object.hasOwn(m, "runtime")) throw new Error("manifest.json must not contain runtime");
```
</issue_to_address>

Sourcery assessment

Needs a human reviewer. 1 finding to address first, and if this contract change is wrong, the publisher could accept page packages whose manifest or contents are incompatible with the App's bundled runtime, leaving an immutable bad version that cannot be repaired by reverting the server code. The damage is bounded: the bad version can be kept off the channel and a corrected package can be published.

应在构造 manifest 前显式拒绝 runtime 存在的输入,例如 if ("runtime" in m) throw new Error(...)。

Reject manifests that still declare runtime.

When a signed manifest includes runtime but its files and hashes cover only pages, parseManifest ignores runtime. The publish handler can then accept the package. Reject the field explicitly and add a test for a legacy manifest with an empty runtime list. The PR objective requires rejection, not silent acceptance; the protocol also describes the new manifest as having no runtime field. (github.com)

Require page modules to reference page paths.

The new coverage check validates module keys but not their file paths. A manifest can map shop/home to runtime/core, upload runtime/core.bin, and pass the page-only publish loop. isObjectPath accepts that path. Require each page file path to be under pages/, so the published package matches the documented page-only layout. (github.com)
