Problem and value

Refs #631 and its agreed scope. Optional Workflow v2 meta.typography_scale (1–2) changes generated text/layout proportions together, preserving more overview context at larger caption sizes. It measures nodes, lane/group/phase headings, relationship labels and legends; omitted or explicit 1 preserves current-dev default output.

The maintainer's targeted re-review confirmed the two source-aware sizing/repair defects were addressed and requested current-dev integration. The previous integration report records the refreshed checks, screenshots and changes since the reviewed head.

AI assistance and accountability

  • AI use: investigation, implementation, tests, review and documentation. OpenAI Codex assisted earlier work; Codex/gpt-6.1-sol and delegated read-only review assisted this synchronization, conflict resolution and validation.
  • Accountable contributor: @To3akaRin. The contributor explicitly confirmed personal review of the current submitted changes and explanation at 94917d68, including the label-height correction and latest upstream sync; the earlier confirmation at ad17e4ba remains historical.
  • Origin: code inspection, synthetic regression fixtures and the previously documented public release-workflow comparison; no private downstream workload or new independent Agent-generation result is claimed.
  • I reviewed the submitted changes and explanation, understand their impact, and can answer questions about them. Validation results and gaps are recorded below.

Stability impact

Workflow v2 only; v1 rejects the option. Authored dimensions, viewBox and absolute routing remain authoritative. Source evidence and resolved brand metadata survive automatic sizing and executable repair probes. Shared legend measurement uses the actual rendered font once; other diagram types receive no new typography option.

Merged current dev 847146ae without rewriting original PR history. Retained constrained-fork recovery and deterministic search, migration semantic contracts, node explanations, drilldowns/href, the current Viewer and the complete browser inventory. The new upstream fork-port spacing had two calls missing the typography argument after automatic merging; existing controlled-order tests reproduced both failures, and the calls now receive the same typography context. No routing rule was replaced.

Test-value / focused simplify review: reused existing public-CLI and constrained-fork regressions, avoided a parallel test family, and checked source/brand cloning and shared callers. Default geometry and failure/repair contracts remain protected. Typography changelog entries remain under Unreleased; current upstream release/package identity is retained.

Latest follow-up to the label-boundary review

Current head: 94917d68243bb145676287e2324c442ddb83fb31; target base synchronized through 5ecbd1bfdbf83ea747072112493c940e707569cb.

  • 7516a237: workflowEdgeLabelPoint now uses typography.edgeAscent / edgeHeight for node-clearance and lane-containment checks, matching the rendered mask and downstream checks. Segment priority, routing policy and authored coordinates are unchanged.
  • One synthetic public-CLI regression reproduces the old scale-2 overlap/rejection and passes with the correction. It checks actual SVG mask/node overlap, preserved explicit via, unmodified input, and scale-1 behavior without freezing automatic placement. The old and fixed scale-1 complete SVG/receipt also match.
  • Fresh on the corrected runtime: 169 affected tests, 6 real-Chrome typography tests, generated checks and extracted-package comparisons pass. A fresh boundary screenshot and measured browser boxes show text inside its mask and no mask/node overlap; inspection is Codex AI, not human perceptual acceptance.
  • b4c75da9: merged current dev including the separately owned fix(ci): refresh stale Checkout and README proof artifacts #1150 artifact repair and DSH feat(dsh): prepare 1.1.0 snapshot and exact-host acceptance (dev) #1157, without conflicts or rewriting attribution. No new renderer/schema/Viewer change came from this base sync. Rechecked typography plus the two formerly failing artifact suites: 91 passed, 0 failed, 1 Windows-only skip on macOS. A fresh canonical ZIP build matches the committed ZIP byte for byte.
  • Pinned correction evidence and post-#1150 integration evidence.

Test-value check: extend the existing typography suite with one failure-boundary fixture and preserve public output/authored intent; reuse existing default, browser and route coverage. The production correction reuses existing typography values and adds no helper or duplicate state. Earlier cross-type and broad generation evidence below remains pinned to its original revision; no new campaign is claimed.

macOS, official Node 22.23.1 / zlib 1.3.1-e00f703, Chrome 156.0.8078.73:

  • Typography/legend, constrained forks, migration, automatic dimensions and repair suites: 100 passed, no failures/skips, including the maintainer's source-backed and repair-replay cases.
  • Passport, drilldown and browser-inventory contracts: 31 passed. npm test: 19 passed.
  • Real Chrome typography, maintained reader and Workflow edge-label contrast: 10 passed, no skips.
  • 16/16 frozen inputs across ten diagram types: public validate/render succeeds on current dev and the merged runtime; complete default HTML bytes are identical. Same-candidate omitted/explicit-1 equivalence is covered by typography regressions.
  • npm run test:generated and whitespace checks passed. Two canonical ZIP builds match. Full extracted-package smoke passed outside the checkout; six ordinary/scaled/CJK/source/brand cases validate and produce HTML identical to the source runtime.

Logs, measurements, fingerprints and reproduction commands. Earlier full-suite, three-state zoom and timing evidence remains pinned to its original revisions; it is not relabeled as current-head validation. No new five-project campaign is claimed or needed for the agreed integration scope. Final-head hosted CI is recorded in PR checks separately.

Visual evidence

Current screenshots and raw browser measurements.

The typography suite covers 32 before/after states across ordinary 1.5/2, dense 1.5 and CJK 1.5 at 1440×900 / 1920×1080, light/dark, plus source-only 1.01 light and source+brand+tag 2 dark with focus/source/tag interaction. Codex AI inspected five fresh 1440×900, Classic, 100%-zoom captures (ordinary/dense scale-1/1.5 pairs and branded source scale-2 dark); no clipping or text/decoration overlap was observed in that subset. Human perceptual review is not claimed. Larger typography can require more vertical scrolling and is not a universal first-screen guarantee.

Generated artifacts

Regenerated all validators from the combined schemas and rebuilt archify.zip. Current ZIP SHA256: 6c660db6d491346225ec637f09e72b32cc302055034d48ea4e8dfe64fabfbf66; rebuilt for the label-height correction and confirmed unchanged after the latest base sync.

Current default Gallery output is unaffected; historical evidence is preserved. New evidence is outside the Skill ZIP. No live installation or release was performed.

CI history: runs 40801001220 and 40808533114 failed the two generated-evidence freshness checks now repaired upstream by #1150. Those historical results remain failures. Current-head CI 40993696554 completed successfully on 94917d68243bb145676287e2324c442ddb83fb31: 19 checks passed; Pages and Cloudflare deployments were conditionally skipped. Both full-regression and browser shards, Windows checks, compatibility, all package platforms, WebM, ZIP and website passed. CodeRabbit status is successful with incremental review skipped; no fresh bot review is claimed.

📝 Summary

Reviewed base 0bd659b and head baf73e8. Workflow v2 now supports optional meta.typography_scale from 1 to 2, measuring text and related layout together; Workflow v1 rejects the option. Omission or scale 1 is intended to preserve existing output, and authored dimensions and routing remain authoritative.

The author reports passing tests, byte-identical default output, and successful package checks. The checked-in compatibility evidence records 16 identical-output cases at candidate 5876e82, not head baf73e8. CI status was not independently observed; remote acceptance and maintainer review remain unverified. Static checks do not establish visual acceptance.

Adds optional meta.typography_scale support for Workflow v2, with values from 1 to 2. Shared typography measurements now inform workflow layout, node sizing, legend rendering, validation, and SVG output. Non-unit scales trigger node capacity checks that account for source evidence and brand marks. The pull request adds tests, usage documentation, and compatibility and browser evidence for scaled and default workflows.

Priority: Normal

Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~60 minutes

Merge Risk: Low · previous review baf73

The comparison evidence cannot currently be replayed against this head, and some scaled workflows may reject a route despite an available label position. Both warrant correction or explicit acceptance, but their established scope does not block merging.

Security architecture risk: Low · up to cb65f

The new typography option is numerically bounded and validated before layout calculation. Inspected rendering paths retain text escaping, and repair suggestions operate on copies rather than changing the authored document. No introduced security concern was established, but incomplete coverage limits confidence.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The inspected new input controls presentation metrics, calculated diagram geometry, and capacity diagnostics within Workflow compilation. This establishes an output-generation scope, not an expansion of tenant, credential, or service authority. Deployment-wide exposure remains outside the inspected evidence.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — The authored-document-to-renderer transition retains validation before typography calculation. Generated validation rejects non-finite or out-of-range scale values, so the new Workflow field does not directly provide arbitrary strings to font-size attributes.
  • observed — The inspected website changes replace static release-label literals. Existing translation innerHTML assignments and gallery link/iframe URL assignments remain unchanged, with locally authored relative gallery paths. Those existing sinks are not evidence of a security condition introduced or worsened by this release-label change.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The inspected recovery path preserves authored-document ownership: candidate repairs are verified on copies rather than applied to the caller's workflow. Handled capacity and feedback failures do not return renderable SVG, containing unsuccessful compilation within its diagnostic result.

Full details: Validation Evidence

Explanation

The reviewed head is baf73e81 with runtime evidence at 5876e825. Core coverage is broad: the current tests cover v1 rejection, default behavior, authored geometry, source/brand repairs, and browser bounds. The latest record reports 3,100 full-suite passes with 115 skips, 10 Chrome checks, and 16/16 default-output compatibility; it correctly distinguishes skips and local evidence from CI. A material gap remains in the Viewer comparison. zoom-comparison/generation.json is bound to candidate ae9255f, while the final runtime changed substantially, including workflow-compiler.mjs. The current generator also rejects the reviewed candidate before rendering because its .github/workflows/release.yml differs from the pinned 98c839a source. The PR does not change that workflow, so the new finding's stated PR causality is incorrect, but the replay failure is real. Therefore the checked-in Viewer HTML, screenshots, panning data, and timing data do not establish that comparison for the final runtime. The current browser evidence covers ordinary, dense, and source/brand cases, but not a final-head three-state Viewer comparison.

Resolution

Remove the candidate-workflow equality check or update the source/provenance contract so the generator can run against the final candidate. Then generate a fresh evidence directory from pinned base 98c839a and candidate baf73e81 (or 5876e825 if runtime-identical), and refresh the Viewer HTML, screenshots, browser measurements, panning data, benchmarks, hashes, and revision notes. If the historical artifacts are retained, label the Viewer claim as limited to ae9255f and remove any implication that it validates the final head.

Saw this after my own comment on #631, the measured-layout approach here is more complete than what I built, so folding mine into this direction instead of opening a competing PR.

Two things from my attempt that may save you a round trip, both on Windows:

  • After changing any schema you must run node scripts/generate-validators.mjs in archify/, otherwise validate still rejects the new field with schema/additionalProperties. Cost me a cycle.
  • The full suite has environment-dependent noise here: the symlink-security cluster flips pass/fail between identical runs, and generate-viewer can SIGTERM inside the 900s wrapper but passes 274/274 standalone. Worth knowing before trusting a red run.

If useful I also have a byte-identity method: deliver a fixture with the field absent, before and after your patch, and cmp the two HTMLs. My default output came out identical to unpatched dev, which is the cleanest zero-regression proof I could give the maintainer.

Thanks for adding the before/after examples. One question I still have is how this compares with the zoom controls already available in the Viewer. For the downstream case in #631, where does zooming fall short in actual use? Is the main need to read the whole diagram without zooming, improve static exports, or something else? I understand that manual zoom does not change the fixed-width validation result; I'd like to understand the user need behind that requirement.

It would help to compare the same representative real-world workflow in three states:

  1. The original diagram at 100% zoom.
  2. The original diagram zoomed until the relevant captions are about as readable as in the proposed version.
  3. The proposed typography/layout at 100% zoom.

With the same content and viewport, this should make the tradeoff clear: how much context remains visible, how much panning is needed, and whether the overall layout looks better. Please include the generated before/after HTML alongside the screenshots so we can try the interaction ourselves. The existing examples are useful; this comparison would help establish the additional benefit over the current controls.

Also, as I mentioned in #631, the existing rules are open to revision. The font limits, 930px reader budget, readability thresholds, and reader-fit behavior can all be reconsidered if a different approach produces better results. Preserving those rules is not a goal in itself. What matters is clear, well-composed diagrams across ordinary and dense cases, with content retained and performance maintained. A small before/after check of generation time and Viewer responsiveness on the representative case would help assess the cost.

I'm open to this direction and to alternatives. Could you share your view on the zoom question and the practical scenario this improves?

Thanks — the zoom question is the right comparison. The practical scenario I can now demonstrate is reviewing the release gates as a whole workflow: keeping the Windows prerequisite and publication endpoint visible while reading the gate captions. Zoom works for inspecting a local section; this option changes the generated text-to-geometry ratio so the overview can retain more context at a comparable caption size. It also changes canonical export geometry, which the Viewer camera does not.

I have added the three-state comparison, downloadable before/after HTML, screenshots, raw measurements and reproduction steps. The two inputs are sourced to this repository's actual release.yml, with a node-by-node source map. They are public representative workflows; I do not have n14/WMS's private inputs and cannot treat these as validation of that downstream's full requirement.

Same content, Classic/READ, settled fonts/camera, page scroll 0. Values below are minimum in-frame sublabel CSS px / fully in-frame nodes:

Case Original 100% Original zoomed Proposed at 100%
Overview, 1440×900 12.65 / 6 of 6 125%: 15.81 / 4 of 6 15.86 / 6 of 6
Stable gates, 1440×900 6.08 / 10 of 10 150%: 9.13 / 6 of 10 8.39 / 10 of 10
Overview, 1920×1080 15.08 / 6 of 6 125%: 18.84 / 4 of 6 20.52 / 6 of 6
Stable gates, 1920×1080 7.05 / 10 of 10 150%: 10.58 / 6 of 10 9.72 / 10 of 10

The original uses the closest available 25% zoom step, so the match is approximate (within 8.9%). At 1440, the zoomed overview's node span exceeds the camera width by about 168 CSS px; actual drags reveal either endpoint, but they cannot both remain fully in frame. For the dense case the excess span is about 225px horizontally and 97px vertically. The candidate retains all nodes at 100%; the below-diagram notes can still require page scrolling.

There are real limits: the dense 1440 case is still below 9px, and the overview's Windows→Regressions automatic route becomes a longer detour. Its tall counterpart scores 12px in the static 930px calculation but only 8.39px in the actual 1440 viewport. I agree that preserving the old budget/rules is not a goal: this supports an optional authoring control, not a claim that it fully solves readability or beats every reader-fit alternative. A replayable, suitably shareable input from the original downstream would be useful to assess that remaining gap.

For cost, 15 serial samples after 3 warmups gave median CLI render times of 151.79→154.29ms and 174.61→176.25ms. Trusted zoom clicks had roughly 11–12ms to the second rAF callback and 170ms to transform convergence in both versions. Those are scheduling/geometry measurements, not direct painted-pixel latency; raw samples are included.

I also merged latest dev (98c839a4), preserved the new ERD legend styling, and updated the PR description. Runtime source ae9255f7: full tests 2,412 passed / 0 failed / 93 skipped; typography browser suite 4 passed / 0 skipped; extracted ZIP smoke passed. Head 3ceffd65 adds the evidence only. Both representative default HTML outputs are byte-identical to current dev. Hosted CI is tracked separately on the pushed head.

Thanks for the three-state comparison and the careful qualification of its limits. The optional Workflow v2 typography control has useful value beyond Viewer zoom: it changes generated text/layout proportions and can preserve more overview context. I support this direction; the implementation and maintenance scope are reasonable.

Review pinned to head 3ceffd6561002376f30c307a64dcf069e6361549.

Independent verification on Node 22.23.2:

  • Typography/legend/ERD focused tests: 55/55 passed, no skips.
  • Real Chrome typography suite: 4/4 passed, no skips, including 32 before/after page checks.
  • Six diagram types, 11 fixed inputs: full HTML and raw SVG byte-identical between base 98c839a4 and this head.
  • Class/tree/timeline/waterfall representatives: full HTML/SVG also byte-identical between dev 116ede22 and an experimental PR-source overlay with combined validators regenerated. This is source compatibility evidence, not acceptance of the final merged package.

Requesting changes for two related, independently reproduced source-aware capacity defects, described in the inline comments.

Run node archify/bin/archify.mjs validate workflow repro.json --json --repo-root /path/to/local-source-repository (render fails as well). At scale 1.01, the automatic node is 92×53, but the capacity check requires height 54. Adding brand: "openai" and using scale 1.1 gives automatic 136×58 versus required height 60, so this is not limited to the 1.01 case. The base and candidate default configuration both pass.

For the repair regression, set width 92 and height 40 in the 1.01 input. The diagnostic offers removing both dimensions; applying that suggestion still fails with the automatic 92×53 capacity error. Setting dimensions to 92×54 succeeds. The fix probe needs the same source evidence as the actual compile.

Please make automatic height and capacity measurement agree for source/brand combinations, preserve sourceEvidence in repair probes, and add a public-CLI regression that replays the offered fixes.

Then sync with current dev (including the test-directory migration and new diagram types), regenerate validators and the canonical ZIP from the combined source, and refresh affected checks and required CI on the final head.

The four standalone comparison HTML files explain most of the large diff and have interactive review value. Moving full generated evidence into a separate archive can be considered later; that cleanup is a non-blocking suggestion.

[P2] Measure automatic height with the source/brand decorations

This automatic height is only 52/68 × scale, while the new capacity check at workflow-compiler.mjs:2950 measures source-aware text rows. A valid source-backed node with label ProcessData, sublabel subtitle, no authored dimensions and scale 1.01 gets 92×53 automatically, then validate/render fail with workflow/typography-capacity because height 54 is required. With brand:"openai" and scale 1.1, the same public CLI fixture gets 136×58 but needs height 60. Defaults pass. Please calculate automatic height using the same source/brand-aware measurement as capacity validation, so an automatically sized supported node does not reject its own geometry; add a source-backed public CLI regression.

Fixed in 417282bf after merging dev at 7112cc6d.

Automatic sizing resolves width first, then takes the maximum of the existing scaled height and the same source/brand-aware minimum-height measurement used by capacity validation. The verified source context is now passed through vertical overlap constraints, lane/group reservations and final node measurement, so routing and SVG use the same geometry. Explicit height remains authoritative; omitted/scale-1 output remains compatible.

The public CLI regressions now pass for the reported 1.01 source node (92×54) and 1.1 source+brand node (136×60), plus tags, partial authored dimensions and offset-lane planning. Every offered capacity fix is replayed through validate and render with the same repo root. The complete typography CLI suite is 35/35; the real Chrome suite is 6/6 with no skips.

Pinned follow-up evidence.

[P2] Preserve sourceEvidence while verifying repair suggestions

This new call relies on acceptsFix(), but its recompile at lines 1507–1511 omits sourceEvidence. The probe therefore removes the source decoration that caused the capacity failure and accepts a fix that fails in real use. The source-backed scale-1.01 fixture receives the remove-width/height suggestion even when neither field exists; starting with an explicit 92×40 node and applying that suggestion still fails at automatic 92×53 (required height 54). Setting 92×54 passes. Please retain the source evidence in the probe and test each offered fix through the public CLI with the same repo root/source context, including deletion of dimensions.

Fixed in 417282bf. acceptsFix() and the migration candidate recompiles retain the same verified sourceEvidence, quality settings and discoverFixes: false.

Independent checking exposed the same gap for brands: JSON cloning also dropped the resolved brand symbol. Candidate nodes now inherit only the already-resolved brand context, matched by stable node ID and unchanged authored brand; deleted dimensions stay deleted and no brand resolution/network work is repeated.

The public regression uses two source nodes with explicit 92×53 boxes at scale 1.01, both needing 54. Fixing one alone cannot pass, so no false single-node fix is offered. After the other node is fixed, every offered repair validates and renders with the original repo root. The corresponding source+brand case uses two 136×59 boxes needing 60 and reverses authored node order to verify paths/context matching.

The source-only regression also fails in an isolated mutant that keeps automatic sizing fixed but omits only probe source evidence, so the first fix cannot mask this regression. All 35 typography CLI tests now pass, and source references/brands and authored input are retained.

Evidence and replay commands.

Both requested capacity corrections are addressed, and the branch is synchronized with dev at 7112cc6d559f7b74fb156cfafe6aa501d1fdf120.

  • Source/brand-aware automatic height is used consistently by planning, capacity validation, routing and SVG.
  • Repair and migration probes preserve verified sources and resolved brands. Independent two-node regressions prevent apparently successful repairs that still fail with the actual source/brand context; every offered capacity fix is replayed through the public CLI.
  • Tests, helpers and fixtures moved to root test/; all ten schema validators and the canonical ZIP were regenerated from the combined source.

Runtime/test/ZIP commit: 417282bf86a2ad071f5416cc1a68eef7bdd1a55a. Evidence head: 04daee41d503ae28b283c8006afd4400336d4121; current head is 0d168fe8f65c21893a1dc433fb5c629d59e971dc, adding only the repository evidence-output guard, its tests and documentation. Runtime and ZIP remain unchanged.

Local results: full root tests 2,727 passed / 0 failed / 102 skipped; typography CLI 35/35; real Chrome typography suite 6/6, no skips. Sixteen fixed inputs across all ten diagram types preserve full HTML and SVG bytes at default typography. Repeated ZIP bytes match and the extracted package passes macOS smoke tests without installed dependencies.

Current evidence, screenshots, hashes and reproduction commands. I have updated the PR description and replied to both inline findings. Earlier three-state evidence remains attributed to its original revisions; the optional archival change is deferred.

Please re-review the synchronized head. Hosted CI is tracked separately from the local results above.

Follow-up: the complete hosted CI passed on 04daee41 (run 37605985192). The additional CodeRabbit evidence-integrity finding is fixed in 0d168fe8: fresh output by default, rejection of nonempty destinations, 6/6 filesystem/CLI regressions, and all 26 historical artifact hashes retained. Final-head CI run 37608892068 has now passed, with Pages deployment skipped by the workflow. CodeRabbit confirmed the additional evidence finding as resolved. @tt-a1i, please re-review the two source-aware capacity fixes and this evidence safeguard at 0d168fe8.

Synced with dev at 603bbb41 in merge commit 853dbb21. Current head is b95463d1; the follow-up adds evidence only. GitHub now reports the PR as mergeable.

  • The source/brand-aware automatic sizing and repair-probe fixes remain intact alongside dev's new route diagnostics and width-first reading.
  • Added two scaled placed-label regressions covering measured rectangles, original edge indices and replayable fixes. Focused coverage: 199 tests; placed-label suite: 9 tests; real Chrome typography/maintained-reader coverage: 7 tests, all passing without skips.
  • Sixteen fixed inputs across all ten types retain identical default HTML/SVG against current dev. Validators and the canonical ZIP were regenerated; repeated ZIP bytes and the extracted-package smoke pass.
  • Final-head CI passed all 17 jobs. The new evidence record separately documents the local full-suite result (2789 pass, 1 Apple Git alias assertion failure also reproduced on clean dev, 100 skips) and five inspected screenshots.

The current Viewer already makes the dense default example's visible captions 9.72px; scale 1.5 raises them to 15.98px with additional vertical space. Historical screenshots keep their original attribution.

@tt-a1i, please re-review the two source-aware capacity findings and the synchronized head. Thank you.

Synced with current dev 0bd659b8 in 5876e825; the final head is baf73e81 (evidence-only follow-up). The two source-aware capacity/probe fixes remain covered, and the merge preserves upstream automatic width/readability, phase chips, edge-label contrast and placement-repair behavior. The feature is not already present in dev.

Local full regressions: 3,100 passed / 0 failed / 115 optional skips; real Chrome targeted checks: 10 passed, no skips; 16 fixed inputs across all ten types have byte-identical default HTML/SVG versus current dev. Canonical ZIP reproducibility and extracted-package smoke passed. Current evidence and screenshots.

Please re-review the updated head and the two previously addressed source-capacity discussions. Final-head CI has now completed successfully on baf73e81: all 19 executing jobs passed; both deployment jobs were skipped by the workflow. Maintainer acceptance is still pending. CodeRabbit could not recover its previous incremental checkpoint, so one fresh full review was triggered and is currently running.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Use the scaled label rectangle when selecting a route segment.

At typography_scale > 1, clearOfNodes and insideOneLane still test a 10px-ascent, 14px-high rectangle. candidateLabelRect and the rendered mask use typography.edgeAscent and typography.edgeHeight. If the smaller rectangle clears a node or lane boundary but the scaled rectangle does not, workflowEdgeLabelPoint keeps the preferred segment. The later route check can then reject a route even when another segment fits. Use the same typography-derived rectangle in both segment-selection checks.

Do not require the candidate workflow to match the pinned source.

The documented replay uses the current repository as the candidate, but the reviewed head changes .github/workflows/release.yml. The byte-for-byte check fails before rendering either comparison.

Keep the source map pinned to sourceCommit and remove this candidate-file check. If historical provenance is required instead, document a candidate checkout at 98c839a43eedb95f38700aa5243ea778c0482777.

Agent-assisted targeted re-review at baf73e8. Thank you for the source-aware sizing/probe fixes and the carefully separated evidence.

I inspected the current source changes and independently ran the source-backed and repair-replay cases in test/workflow-typography.test.mjs on macOS, official Node 22.23.2: 13 passed, 0 failed/skipped. This covers automatic source/brand/tag dimensions, preserved authored constraints, default/scale-one behavior, and replaying the offered repairs with source context. The initial isolated invocation lacked parse5; after supplying local dependencies the selected suite passed. These results are on the existing candidate, not a merge with current dev.

The two concrete defects in my earlier review are addressed by this evidence. Your full-suite, cross-type default-byte comparison and screenshots remain author evidence at their recorded revisions; I have not independently repeated that whole matrix or claimed a new perceptual acceptance. The feature still has useful value beyond camera zoom, within the agreed optional Workflow-v2 scope.

Please synchronize current dev, resolve the integration conflicts while preserving its layout/repair/source behavior, regenerate the affected validators/package, and get final-head checks. Identify relevant source changes since baf73e8; reuse unaffected evidence and rerun only coverage invalidated by the integration. No new five-project campaign, other diagram types or added typography features are requested. Please provide the current contributor accountability confirmation as well. This review resolves the prior technical questions; final integration/visual compatibility remains pending the synchronized revision. Thanks again.

Synchronized with current dev 847146ae in merge commit 93279dda, preserving the original PR history. The final head is ad17e4ba; its second commit adds integration evidence only. GitHub now reports the branch as mergeable.

  • Preserved constrained-fork recovery/deterministic search, migration semantic contracts, source/brand repair context, node explanations, drilldowns and the current browser inventory. The automatic merge exposed two missing typography arguments in the new fork-port spacing callback: both existing controlled-order regressions failed before correction and pass afterward.
  • Regenerated the combined validators and canonical ZIP. Refreshed affected checks: 100 typography/layout/repair tests, 31 integration contracts, 19 core smoke tests and 10 real-Chrome tests passed without skips. Sixteen fixed inputs across ten types retain byte-identical default HTML against current dev. Full extracted-package smoke and six scaled/source/brand package comparisons passed; repeated ZIP builds match.
  • Current revision-pinned evidence, screenshots, file identities and commands. Historical zoom/timing evidence retains its original revision. No new five-project campaign or additional typography capability was added.
  • AI assistance/accountability is now explicit in the description. @To3akaRin has personally confirmed review of the synchronized changes and explanation, and the confirmation checkbox is checked. Current screenshot inspection is identified as Codex AI inspection; human perceptual acceptance is not claimed.

Final-head CI run 40801001220 is not all green: 16 executing jobs succeeded, the two full-regression shards failed, and their test (22) aggregate failed; two deployment jobs were conditionally skipped. CodeRabbit's status is successful. The recorded failures include two inherited generated-evidence freshness problems:

  1. README motion proof is compact, looping, and backed by current gallery artifacts: signal-flow receipt fingerprint is 69718e6e… while its current artifact is 77a30e64….
  2. checked-in Checkout compare artifact is reproducible from its authoritative inputs: the checked artifact differs from the current generated software/license notices.

I independently ran each selected test on a clean checkout of base 847146ae: both fail there as well. The corresponding checked-in proof/Gallery/compare inputs and artifacts are unchanged by this PR. These require the upstream generated-artifact freshness follow-up; the typography and default-compatibility results above are separate from the failed full-suite status.

@tt-a1i, please re-review ad17e4ba with the current integration evidence and the inherited CI failures noted above.

Thank you for synchronizing with current dev, preserving the revision-pinned evidence, and explicitly confirming your personal review. We continue to support the optional Workflow-v2 typography scope. We are not asking for another broad generation benchmark.

One concrete inconsistency remains in the current head ad17e4b: in workflowEdgeLabelPoint, clearOfNodes still constructs { y: ly - 10, height: 14 }, and insideOneLane uses ly - 10 / ly + 4. The label width is scaled, but these vertical extents are not. Please use the same typography-derived label extents as the rendered label/mask and downstream geometry checks, so segment selection does not treat a scaled label as if it still had the default height.

This is verified in the current source; we have not independently reproduced the final visual failure. Please add or adapt one focused case where a scaled label approaches a node/lane boundary and another segment can accommodate it, confirming the selected placement uses the actual label size and default-scale behavior remains intact. Keep this a local correction rather than changing routing policy.

The generated-proof CI failures are separately tracked in #1150. Reuse the existing evidence at its recorded revision, coordinate/rebuild affected artifacts after the base repair, and rerun only checks invalidated by the fix/integration plus required final-head CI. Thanks again for the thorough follow-up.

Addressed the remaining label-boundary finding in 7516a237, then synchronized current dev 5ecbd1bf (including the merged #1150 repair) without conflicts. Current head: 94917d68.

  • workflowEdgeLabelPoint now uses the same typography-derived ascent/height as the rendered mask for node clearance and lane containment. Segment priority, routing policy and explicit coordinates are unchanged.
  • One synthetic public-CLI fixture reproduces the old scale-2 failure, where the actual label overlaps a node although another segment fits. It passes after the fix and checks the rendered mask, preserved via and unchanged input. Default-scale complete SVG/receipt remains identical before/after.
  • Fresh correction evidence: 169 related regressions and 6 real-Chrome typography checks pass without skips; generated checks and extracted-package comparison pass. The additional boundary screenshot/measurements show text inside its mask and no mask/node overlap (Codex AI inspection, not claimed human perceptual acceptance).
  • After merging fix(ci): refresh stale Checkout and README proof artifacts #1150, the two previously failing artifact tests and typography suite pass: 91 passed, 0 failed, 1 Windows-only skip on macOS. A clean canonical ZIP rebuild matches the committed archive byte for byte. No new renderer/schema/Viewer changes came from this base sync, so unaffected historical evidence is reused at its recorded revision. No new generation campaign was performed.

Correction evidence · Post-#1150 integration evidence.

@To3akaRin explicitly confirmed personal review of this current correction, integration and explanation; the description's confirmation is checked. Codex assisted implementation, testing and this reply.

Final-head CI 40993696554 has completed successfully on 94917d68243bb145676287e2324c442ddb83fb31: 19 executing checks passed, including both full-regression shards, both browser shards, Windows Node 22/24, Node compatibility, three-platform package smoke, WebM, generated/ZIP freshness and website checks. Two deployment jobs were conditionally skipped. Historical failed runs remain recorded as failures; they are superseded by this successful synchronized-head result. CodeRabbit reports success with incremental review skipped; no new bot review is claimed.

@tt-a1i, the focused correction, current contributor confirmation and final-head checks are ready for re-review.
