What are you adding?

DBine, a free, open-source desktop database manager for Windows, macOS and Linux that works with Valkey: key browser (SCAN), command editor, value editing, server monitor, clients and ACL users.

  • Client library → _data/libraries/clients/
  • Integration (tool, framework, or AI/agent library) → _data/libraries/integrations/

Entry details

Moved from the participants page to _data/libraries/integrations/dbine.json (tag CLI & GUI), as requested in review. The documentation link is DBine's Valkey page, which shows how to connect (each connection field, TLS, SSH tunnel) and what is available for Valkey.

Submission checklist

  • Valid JSON, placed in clients/ or integrations/, and registered once in _data/libraries/manifest.json.
  • All required fields present: name, description, license, repository, documentation.
  • Tested compatible with Valkey 7.2 or above (tested against Valkey 9.1).
  • OSI-approved open-source license.
  • Repository is publicly accessible, active within the last 6 months, and has a README with basic usage.
  • documentation opens on a page that shows how to use the project with Valkey, not a homepage or an index.
  • Description is factual, vendor-neutral and within the length limit in _data/libraries/schema.json.
  • Commits are signed per the DCO using --signoff.

./build/validate-libraries.py passes locally (38 entries).

Nice work. Would you mind altering your website?

  • Add the Valkey logo
  • I assume this works with Valkey native commands as well as Redis commands. Could you indicate that?

and Yes. DBine sends each command to the server as you type it (over the RESP protocol), so anything your Valkey server supports works: the Redis-compatible commands and Valkey's own, such as the ones added in Valkey 8 (COMMANDLOG, SET … IFEQ). DBine also recognises a Valkey server: the version, the server monitor and ACL-based users and permissions all read Valkey's own information.

We now have a place for GUI tools go on the new Integrations page now, under CLI & GUI. Could you move DBine to _data/libraries/integrations/dbine.json per the add_library template.

Thanks! Done: DBine is now _data/libraries/integrations/dbine.json (tag CLI & GUI), registered in the manifest, and the participants entry and logo are removed. The branch is rebased on main, and validate-libraries.py passes. The documentation link points to DBine's Valkey page (https://dbine.com/en/engines/valkey), which shows the connection fields, TLS and SSH tunnel and what's available for Valkey.
