Hi there ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm Zain (zai1208)

I am a low-level systems programmer and automation developer specializing in custom toolchains, kernel-level architectures, and cryptographic protocols. I prefer building things from the ground up to eliminate software bloat and ensure maximum determinism.

  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Currently developing: Low-level toolchains and custom compiled systems.
  • ๐ŸŽ“ Studying: Cybersecurity & Robotics Systems Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Ask me about: Strict C99, Nim, Bash optimization, custom Makefiles/Ninja build trees, and privilege escalation triage.
  • ๐Ÿ”’ PGP Public Key: zain-khan.dev/pgp.asc
  • ๐Ÿ“ Technical Blog: blog.zain-khan.dev

๐Ÿš€ Core Technical Ecosystems

1. Low-Level Language Infrastructure

  • KPL: A zero-dependency, 3-stage custom compiler toolchain written in strict ISO C99 that emits deterministic System-V AMD64 assembly text, featuring its own automated regression testing engine.

2. Operating Systems & Infrastructure Automation

  • LFS-Scripts: An automated multi-stage compilation pipeline designed to bootstrap a custom Linux distribution from source code. Replaces standard GNU overhead with musl-libc and a slimmed slimcc toolchain to drop deployment times down to 8 minutes.
  • saur: A clean, minimal, and secure Arch User Repository (AUR) package deployment helper written purely in native Bash.

3. Cryptographic Networks & Applications

  • PWSS: A decentralized alternative web protocol running over asynchronous Unix IPC pipes and PGP-verified static index streams. Includes a native desktop GUI client built via the Qt6 framework.
  • SECTOR-0: A minimalist typetron genre game core engineered using native Nim.

๐Ÿงฎ Research Footprints (still wip)

  • Variational Quantum Simulation via Parallelized GPUs (2026): Authored an independent research whitepaper evaluating distributed hybrid quantum-classical networks (PennyLane) simulated on classical GPU workstations, profiling VRAM footprint optimizations down to 0.0746 MB and mapping migration paths onto room-temperature diamond NV-center physical QPUs.

โš™๏ธ Tech Stack & Tooling Matrix

  • Languages: Strict ISO C99, C++ (Qt6), Assembly (NASM/AMD64), Nim, Python, Bash.
  • Systems Internals: Linux environment isolation (chroot), initialization tracking (runit), modern privilege escalation (run0).
  • Build Infrastructure: GNU Make dependency debugging, Ninja build tree parallelization.
